Wow! What a magnificent vocal performance! I just can’t!
Raw, powerful and passionate but still controlled, Christina displayed one of the rare instances where I would agree to call her one of the best vocalists in the industry today.
“Bound To You”, co-written by Sia Furler, Samuel Dixon and Aguilera herself, is taken from the Burlesque album soundtrack.
Aguilera is definitely pulling out all the stops for this Burlesque project and it would be so awesome to see this song nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song category. Yes honey, I’m going as far as putting it out there! What a triumph it would be for not only Christina but for Sia Furler as well! Sia in my opinion is such an awesome songwriter! We love you Sia!!!

I recognize a Sia Furler track when I hear one and this song taken from the Burlesque soundtrack is awesome on so many levels. As you know Sia contributed to a handful of songs on Christina Aguilera’s album Bionic.
“Things went so well for us that she flew us back out to write another song for Burlesque, the movie she’s starring in with Cher,” Sia says excitedly.
“And, between you and me, we also tried to write one for Cher but she didn’t go for it.”
Too bad because this song is just beautiful. Instead Cher opted for the Dianne Warren penned “You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me” «< YAWN!

Coming Soon: Burlesque the Movie Musical Holy crap! The mount of people starring in this film is just overwhelming: Cher, Christina Aguilera, Stanley Tucci, Alan Cumming, Kristen Bell, Cam Gigandet, Julianne Hough, Eric Dane, Peter Gallagher… Not to mention it’s written and directed by Steve Antin, who executive produced “The Pussycat Dolls” reality show on TV. Rumour has it he was a one time boyfriend of media mogul David Geffen back in the 80s. And he was an actor at one time who’s come a long way since Goonies and The Accused. Let’s see how this plays out on the big screen come Thanksgiving 2010.

“The Burlesque Lounge has its best days behind it. Tess, a retired dancer and owner of the venue, struggles to keep the aging theater alive, facing all kinds of financial and artistic challenges. With the Lounge’s troupe members becoming increasingly distracted by personal problems and a threat coming from a wealthy businessman’s quest to buy the spot from Tess, the good fortune seems to have abandoned the club altogether. Meanwhile, the life of Ali, a small-town girl from Iowa, is about to change dramatically. Hired by Tess as a waitress at the Lounge, Ali escapes a hollow past and quickly falls in love with the art of burlesque. Backed by newfound friends amongst the theater’s crew, she manages to fulfill her dreams of being on stage herself. Things take a dramatic turn though when Ali’s big voice makes her become the main attraction of the revue.”
